The History of The Adams School

In March of 1859, the Castine school district voted to build what is now the Adams School. The 10,600 dollars that they borrowed for it was only paid back over 10 years. On March 25th, 1863, the district offered the state of Maine the use of the Adams School for a Normal School for 5 years.
